Here she is the sweetest baby ever! okay maybe I'm feeling a little baby hungry......just a little.

It took us a while to get this little angel to sleep but once we did it paid off, just look at those cute little lips. And seriously look what we found out there, how great is that. The mama duck to these eggs, after she scared the crap out of me, was more than gracious to let us enjoy this wonderful little nest.

Okay after I posted this I discovered that you might not be able to read the captions, well here is the story. We get to the ocean for the first time (by the water) We decide to split up, I have Tessa Doug had Taiven. So we walk down to the water, of course the photographer in me got caught up in the moment. So here comes this big wave (note first picture) Shanlin noticing runs out of the way, poor little Tessa doesn't have a clue what's about to hit her as you can see from the play by play pics she was not a fan of the wave as it took her down I had to drop the camera and run to grab her before the wave took her out to sea...oops and not in frame is the same thing happening to Taiven...hahahah. We were not award winning parents that day! Tessa and Taiven did not go by the water the whole rest of the trip.

Okay I feel like I am at a couple big cross roads in my life right now, in which I need to make some very important decisions. My love of photography that I have immersed myself into the last year has had so many wonderful perks, I feel like more of a person and less like a nanny, slave, housekeeper all in one, I get my much needed me time in my time out in the field (my favorite part) and my many hours behind a computer screen trying to better my art. But as you can all tell I'm sure that I have slowed down a tad from the craziness of last year and tried to focus more on my craziness at home with my three energetic kids. Okay so I will get to the point......., So here is where I stop and think do I move forward in my love of photography (hence the I Heart...heheh) or do I take a step back and put more focus on the most important people in my life, my family. Well I discovered that you can have BOTH that's right it's just a balance of time right? Well that's what I am telling myself anyway. So I'm moving forward, first with an amazing workshop in May that I am sooooo excited about. And then maybe a new baby in the future.....ahhahah just kidding not the soon future anyway.

Now I will stop blabbing and let you view this precious picture of this sweet little girl.

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!

We just got back from CALIFORNIA, were we went on a wonderful weeks vacation!

What a great way to spend our Spring Break. Ohh what wonderful stories I have to tell and most are documented thru...of course PICTURES....love it. I don't think I put the camera down for the whole trip. Here are some fun moments to start you off.

I think I pulled out all my tricks with this cute little girl, she did not want anything to do with me or my camera at the beginning but towards the end thanks to a very patient gorgeous mom and helpful grandma and lots of following her around she gave me some precious pictures. I have been so blessed in so many ways in my life. From that first night that me and Doug went out, I knew that I would spend the rest of my life with him. Now 9 1/2 years 3 kids and 5 moves later, I never knew that married life could be this wonderful. What an amazing Father, MAN & Husband I have. Rainy Day Fun!!!

I had so much fun on my rainy day photo shoots.... I spent the first part of the day with a wonderful family that is very near and dear to my heart.. The Wheelers!! Neither rain, snow or tornado would have stopped this grandmother from getting pictures of her family:). They were so amazing to work with you would never guess that it was pouring rain the whole time! After the shoot I was soaking wet and looked like I had gone swimming. Without the help of my wonderful assistant (thanks Lisa!) I don't think I would have made it through in one piece. Thanks you guys you were so patient and fun.

After that you would think I would of had enough of the rain, no no no I wanted more. I couldn't resist the urge to put my daughter in rain boots and let her loose with a parking lot full of puddles. Result was priceless images mixed with some frog jumping and last minute outfit choice. lol Goodness me sometimes I wonder if I am a little crazy.... oh wait I am!

Where does the time go? It just seams like yesterday when I was a little girl going with my family all of us loaded in our big blue van up to the mountains to chop down our christmas tree, and not just any Christmas tree but it had to be the biggest fattest one we could find. Oh what fun memories.

Okay so summer has been kinda slow for photography,(can't understand why people don't want to stand outside in 110 weather) but crazy busy other ways. I am using the time to learn more about photography I am taking a course online right now and am really enjoying it. But in the mean time I will post some fun pics of my precious baby boy who just turned one.
